“As a classroom community, our capacity to generate excitement is deeply affected by our interest in one another, in hearing one another’s voices, in recognizing one another’s presence.” - bell hooks, *teaching to transgress*
This section of my teaching portfolio will show you more about the different undergraduate and graduate courses that I teach.
An important part of any successful course are the many and varied activities we use to help students to learn and apply concepts.
A key component of my teaching is a long-running study abroad experience in London, England.

Since 2007, I have served as the Director of a local site of the National Writing Project at ECU.
